Kitting, Production and Work Order Processing Capabilities Add
Value
PowerHouse/WMS has full featured kitting and production modules that facilitate
assembly and manufacturing. Kitting and production processes feature pedigree
lot and serial number tracking, component visibility, the ability to explode
kits to their original components and much more.
To support kitting and production, PowerHouse has multi-level Bill of Material
(BOM) structures through which subcomponents can be configured for
any item, kit or manufacturing requirement.
Kit and Production runs can be user configured as projects to build inventory in
anticipation of a fulfillment requirement or runs can be automatically generated as the
result of a customer order or work order.
Key Features
- Work Order Processing supports BOM
- Automated component replenishment improves productivity
- Pedigree Tracking meets emerging regulations
- Lot & Serial Number tracking meet business requirements
- Ability to Kit & Explode Kits provides inventory flexibility
- Performance Metrics improve planning
- Tracking of Scrap & Quality Issues improves inventory visibility
- Auto-generated kit runs minimize user interaction
- Special Instructions provide limitless opportunities to provide services
When an order is placed for a kitted item, PowerHouse/WMS searches available
inventory for assembled kits. In the event there is not sufficient kitted inventory
to fulfill an order, PowerHouse automatically creates a kit run for the
required quantity.
Production runs utilize work order processing that also use BOM information and
includes process steps with instructions that can be assigned to specific work
cells.
Kit and Production runs create system directed material moves to bring components
to the assembly staging areas. Once components have been staged, new items are produced and components parts are decremented from inventory.
The Production module is similar to kitting but offers greater flexibility and
features; back flushing of components upon receipt of finished goods, tracking
of scrap or miss-hits and other valuable metrics to expose production results.
