announced that Integrated Services Inc has implemented PowerHouse/WMS configured
to manage their automotive clients.
ISI has been providing
transportation and warehousing services to the automotive industry for over a
decade. During that time they have
built a new warehouse and updated their transportation fleet to continue to
offer the quality services they believe in.
But as requirements grew for better inventory tracking, reduced delivery
windows, enhanced reporting, and tightly integrated collaborative processing
with both Vendors and Customers, ISI recognized that they would need a new WMS
designed to meet the unique needs of their industry.
ISI implemented PowerHouse/WMS
because it provided the functionality they needed to easily satisfy their
automotive customers' needs.
Designed for the 3PL industry, PowerHouse provided the ability to discretely
track multiple client inventories, manage them with client specific business
rules and to provide inventory visibility to their clients through the
ePowerHouse web portal.
The ability to configure
PowerHouse to meet customer expectations was found to be especially important
when ISI was engaged to manage Daimler-Chrysler's transmission inventories. Nearly 50,000 transmissions in
various states of production constantly move through ISI's warehouse to and from
various manufacturing processes and final line-side assembly. Serially controlled transmission
carriers are scanned throughout their warehouse lifecycle confirming receipt,
putaway, counts, and JIT shipments delivered on ISI trucks.
