Partner with Samoh Logistics to Implement PowerHouse/WMS

solutions has announced that DHL has implemented PowerHouse/WMS to manage
logistics services for Ciba Vision
Solutions Diagnostics in South Korea.
Ciba Vision is a global leader in the research, development and
manufacturing of contact lenses and lens care products. To manage over 1,100 different
products that include many types of contact lenses, cleaning and care products,
Ciba Vision contracted DHL for their South Korean logistics needs.
DHL Korea will process all imported Ciba Vision products &
equipment. DHL will receive these
products, manage their storage in the warehouse, and distribute them to Ciba
Vision's wholesalers. Product return will
also be managed by DHL to include disposition of return receipts to scrap or for
return aboard with CIBA Vision's confirmation.
Value added services such as re-labeling will also be performed in the
warehouse.
DHL partnered with Samoh Logistics (SLi) to implement the state-of
-the-art PowerHouse/WMS warehouse management system. SLi has been a QSSI Value Added
Reseller since 1999 and had implemented PowerHouse/WMS with DHL to manage other
major accounts with great success.
Building upon their prior experience together, SLi and DHL teamed
up to satisfy Ciba-Vision's detailed warehousing requirements with
PowerHouse/WMS. Precise inventory
control was achieved via flexible user configured operating procedures. While optimal performance was
achieved with a balance of system directed tasks and convenient user functions
that ensure orders are shipped on-time with complete accuracy.
