DHL & Siemens
Partner with Samoh Logistics to Implement PowerHouse/WMS
Korean User
Interface, Configurable Process Rules, 3PL Architecture- Provide the Right
Solution for DHL - Siemens
Icheon, South Korea:
QSSI has announced that DHL has
implemented PowerHouse/WMS to manage warehouse and distribution services for
Siemens Medical Solutions in South Korea.
Following their acquisition of the Bayer Diagnostics Division,
Siemens contracted DHL to provide logistics and fulfillment services in South
Korea. DHL will be handling all
imported products & equipment for the Siemens Medical Solutions division. Products to be managed include:
Integrated Systems for Immunoassay, Hematology, Blood Gas, Molecular Diagnostics
and others, as well as lab supplies, solutions and consumables.
Some of the materials to be managed are
toxic, which require special handling, licensing and traceability.
Operationally, DHL will use PowerHouse/WMS to manage all inventory
control and fulfillment functions.
PowerHouse/WMS was configured with business rules to direct serial number
tracking and lot control to meet item specific handling requirements. Siemens products also include toxic
and temperature controlled materials which are system directed for storage in
separate areas and to their appropriate temperature controlled locations.
The WMS implementation was collaboration between DHL and Samoh
Logistics, (QSSI's South Korean Value Added Reseller of PowerHouse/WMS). Samoh Logistics (SLi) provided the
necessary logistics systems experience and local support for PowerHouse/WMS DHL
and Siemens required. Proven WMS
functionality featuring a user friendly Korean interface along with dedicated
local support from SLi provided extraordinary results and customer satisfaction.
