"The [PowerHouse] 7.2 update focuses mainly on two different types of performance; application performance and user productivity," said Robert Banczak, Director of Product Development at QSSI. "Towards improving application performance, several key areas of the package were overhauled, resulting in performance gains of up to 30-40%. We also upgraded our existing user productivity tools by adding a new, comprehensive suite of reports, indicators and monitoring points."

In addition to increased performance and employee productivity tracking, the 7.2 update adds a host of new features and enhancements to the already formidable PowerHouse application suite. New features include an Auto-Process Server that can be used to schedule the generation of reports, order processing waves and cycle counts, and an improved, user-configurable Interface Server for connecting to external applications.

Among the enhancements made to the system are the addition of extra 'actionable' customizable fields on many tables, allowing users to create new items in the system at receiving time, and several additions to the cross-docking functions including ASN cross-docking and cross-docking to fill min/max levels.
