PowerHouse/WMS
3PL Functions
|
|
Third Party Logistics companies have a different set of needs from traditional warehousing
concerns and PowerHouse is fully capable of providing functionality to meet those needs.
|
| |
|
PowerHouse has always supported multi-owner environments, where the inventory stored belongs
to several different companies. Multi-owner support is integral to all aspects of the system,
allowing 3PL companies to modify the operation of the system at an Owner level for receiving,
storing, picking and shipping inventory. In these instances, each owner specific set of
operating rules is capable of co-existing with the others within the same installation of the
software.
|
| |
|
Since 3PL operations store other company's products, they need to be able to accurately bill
their customers for space usage, handling and special service charges. PowerHouse provides
extensive billing configuration options, and different actions can trigger different charges
for different clients.
|
| |
|
| |
|
PowerHouse provides the ability to create a charge for any type of activity in the warehouse.
This can be further refined by only triggering the charge if the action happens in a certain
area of the warehouse, or only involves a specific type of order or receipt (for instance, the
charge can be applied if the receipt was a standard factory to warehouse receipt, but not if
the receipt was a return from an end customer).
|
| |
|
In addition to generating billing charges on activities within the warehouse, PowerHouse also
allows you to generate charges based on the amount of space a client uses, any special operations
they have contracted for and for general monthly maintenance fees.
|
| |
|
| |
|
When generating charges based on utilization, you have the option of charging by cube and by
square footage and you can determine the charges based on a minimum, maximum or average usage
over any period of time you choose. You can also combine these factors, for instance, to calculate the
maximum cube used each day and then bill based on the average of those values for a given month.
